FAQS

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I ARRIVE?

When you arrive, search for #528 on the intercom and you'll get buzzed in. If you arrive early, there is a small waiting area on the 5th floor. Street parking can be limited in the neighborhood, but there are often openings on Alabama Street.

WHAT IS BIODYNAMIC CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY?

BCST is a gentle, hands-on approach that supports the body’s natural ability to return to health. It works with the spinal, nervous, endocrine, and immune systems to regulate stress and physiology. It also supports delicate and deep structures that aren’t accessible through typical manual bodywork, such as the spinal cord and brain systems. Many clients experience relief from pain and overwhelm, along with a greater sense of clarity, resilience, and ease.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

If you book a Bodywork or Myofascial Release session, please wear comfortable and flexible clothing to allow for unrestricted movement. Clothing like sweatpants, shorts, and comfortable tops work well. If you book a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy session, please wear something comfortable. If you book a Deep Tissue Massage, I'll leave the room to allow you to disrobe to your comfort level.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTERWARD?

Always hydrate after a session. Releasing soft tissue pulls water from other parts of your body which we’ll want to replace.

WHAT IS MYOFASCIAL RELEASE TECHNIQUE?

Myofascial release technique is a manual therapy that enacts lasting change through the release of collagen. Collagen is the primary building block of fascia, a connective tissue that greatly impacts posture. Myofascial release restores the body’s biomechanics and improves postural tension and joint pain. It is also an excellent method to release scar tissue.
