WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I ARRIVE?
The entrance to ActivSpace is on Treat Avenue. When you arrive, dial 00528 on the callbox to get buzzed in. Restrooms and a waiting area are on the 5th floor near the elevator. Street parking is very limited on weekdays. Bike parking is almost always available near the front door.
WHAT IS BIODYNAMIC CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY?
BCST is a gentle, hands-on approach that supports the body’s natural ability to return to health. It works with the spinal, nervous, endocrine, and immune systems to regulate stress and physiology. It also supports delicate and deep structures that aren’t accessible through typical manual bodywork, such as the spinal cord and brain systems. Many clients experience relief from pain and overwhelm, along with a greater sense of clarity, resilience, and ease.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
If you book a Bodywork or Myofascial Release session, please wear comfortable and flexible clothing to allow for unrestricted movement. Clothing like sweatpants, shorts, and comfortable tops work well. If you book a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy session, please wear something comfortable without a hood. If you book a Deep Tissue Massage, I'll leave the room to allow you to disrobe to your comfort level.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTERWARD?
Mild to moderate soreness is common, especially after the first few sessions. Gentle stretching and movement is usually helpful too. Always hydrate afterward.
WHAT IS MYOFASCIAL RELEASE TECHNIQUE?
Myofascial release technique is a manual therapy that enacts lasting change through the release of collagen. Collagen is the primary building block of fascia, a connective tissue that greatly impacts posture. Myofascial release restores the body’s biomechanics and improves postural tension and joint pain. It is also an excellent method to release scar tissue.
HOW DO YOU HANDLE PAYMENT AND INSURANCE?
I accept cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, and credit cards. I don't currently accept insurance, however, I can provide you a superbill or invoice for reimbursement.
